….and possibly punted – but back to more important issues…(okay im kidding about being punted!)
I have left this blog alone for too long, however after reading this blog http://www.aysha-innit.blogspot.com/ (seriously good stuff on there, at times I felt like a kid in candy shop! Does a really good job of making one wanna go and live in Ajman عجمان) yes I felt the need to update this with some stuff. Lets do movies – yaay!
Ok so I saw Seven Pounds http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0814314/ the other day and to be honest, I kind of liked it from the get go, even though its a bit silly. I still enjoyed it very much. I just loved Rosario Dawson in this, I wasn’t so keen on her in Sin City (which is one my favourite movies [ c'mon 3 stories for the price of one { forget that, just such a cool movie I could watch it with the volume on mute!! }]).
Her character (Emily Posa) was just beautiful (which says alot about true beauty, persona and character)….she’s really good in this! My favourite scene was the bit where….:
Rosario Dawson:Emily Posa: What if… my pager goes off… and it’s a heart… and… it works? And my body doesn’t reject it? And… what if i have time?
Will Smith:Ben Thomas: [Long pause almost silent for a while to think] What if?…………… What if we have children?……………. What if we got married?……..
and then they both say “I love you”, and they start crying and embrace…it was touching and moving. Good stuff. Mashallah bruv!

Also in September I watched Casino, Goodfellas, Back to the Future (awesome classic film!), The Burbs (one of my all time favourites!), Man in the Chair (which was good in the beginning, I liked the editing, but then certain scenes felt all too familiar and safe… already been done before and I should have I liked it alot more but didn’t. I wanted it to glide like West Side story!!) Up in the Air – now this was good, because even though its predictable and whatever it sucks you in, and then spits you out and laughs at you – like you knew this would happen, wakes you up! Definitely recommend it!.
What else, well lets see Westfield is new in Stratford, but doesn’t feel like stratford at all. Its stunning, the whole complex is, a remarkable piece of engineering and construction. I wonder how it will be this time next year and the year after.
I’m tired now, and my head hurts good night y’all come back now.
